About Chamber Group Insurance:
The Chambers Plan has become the largest group insurance program of its kind in the country, providing tangible benefits to members of participating Chambers and Boards. From the National Service Centre, located in Winnipeg, the Chambers Plan is administered by Johnston Group Inc., named one of Canada's 50 Best Managed companies in each of the past nine years.
Non-Chamber Members can Apply
You don't even have to be a Chamber member to get a quote, but you must have a membership when you apply for coverage. Membership can be in your company's name or one of its principals'. As long as that membership is maintained, the firm remains eligible.
Pooled Group Insurance Plan
Most benefit plans are experience rated, which means that premiums are based on your company's individual claims. But if you only have a few employees, and they have large claims, your rates could rise dramatically.
To help keep your premiums more stable from year to year, look for a pooled plan where premiums are based on the average of claims across all participants, speeding the risk.
